Halls returns to Reading

Reading have had their defender John Halls returned to the club after his loan spell at Crystal Palace ended. Neil Warnock sent the player back after Danny Butterfield returned from injury.

"After the one month we couldn't take him until the end of the season, we could only take him for 93 days which would take us to the end of March," Warnock told the club's official website.

"It could be that we take him later in the season if needs be."
