Arsenal hold initial talks to sign English attacker
Arsenal have held initial talks with Crystal Palace over the potential transfer of Eberechi Eze this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.
The Gunners have had a phenomenal summer and they have bolstered the attack with the likes of Noni Madueke and Viktor Gyokeres.
The club are poised to make more additions to the squad based on outgoings and a versatile playmaker is reportedly one of the prime targets.
Eze has already opened the door for a transfer to the Gunners, and the club have now held initial talks with Palace for the 27-year-old.
The Gunners have been told that the attacker has a £68 million release clause in his contract and a deal will depend on matching the fee.
Arsenal have a good working relationship with the Eagles and they are expected to hold further talks after securing some player sales.
The likes of Reiss Nelson and Gabriel Jesus could be offloaded. The former is reportedly on the cusp of returning to London club Fulham.
