Preview: Arsenal vs West Bromwich Albion and Prediction

Arsenal will play host to West Bromwich Albion in Monday night's Premier League outing from the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners have bagged clean sheets in their last two games against Chelsea and Bournemouth, and they will come into the Baggies clash with renewed confidence. Arsene Wenger's side have seen all of their main rivals pick up wins over the weekend and three points are a necessity to remain in the title race early on.

Meanwhile, the Baggies have endured an indifferent form since the opening two weeks of the campaign, but they still remain above the Gunners (12th) in 10th place with a point better off. Pulis' side beat the Gunners by a 3-1 scoreline at the Hawthorns last time around, but their record at the Emirates is not one of the best with five defeats in their previous five meetings.

Prediction:

Arsenal have looked assured against the Baggies on their home turf, and it will be interesting to see whether Wenger opts to give a first league start of the season to Olivier Giroud. The Frenchman made a similar bow with the Baggies last term, and provided a match-winning header in the dying minutes which secured a 1-0 victory.
