Man Utd Injury Update: Manchester United vs Crystal Palace
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has provided an early injury update ahead of his side's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Saturday.
The Red Devils have a short turnover time following their trip to Moscow, where they beat CSKA Moscow by a 4-1 scoreline in the Champions League.
Speaking after the game, Mourinho confirmed that Michael Carrick is definitely out for the Eagles clash while Marouane Fellaini and Phil Jones are also potential doubts.
"Carrick has no chance," Mourinho told BT Sport. "I think Jones I have many doubts. And Fellaini I have a hope, just a hope."
Carrick captained the Red Devils during their 4-1 League Cup win, and that remains his only appearance in the club's shirt this term.
Meanwhile, Fellaini has started the previous two Premier League outings after he produced a stellar showing against Basel earlier this month.
The Belgian sustained an ankle injury at Southampton after being crudely tackled by Shane Long, and he may play no part this weekend.
Phil Jones was adjudged the man of the match during the 1-0 win at St.Mary's but Mourinho is still cautious with the centre-back, who is struggling with a persistent ankle problem.
Despite the setbacks, Manchester United should be relatively confident over a win against Crystal Palace, who are at the bottom of the standings with zero points.
