Eden Hazard: Ballon d'Or not a goal of mine
Chelsea star Eden Hazard has brushed off suggestions that he could leave the Blues in the future with the ambition of winning the Ballon d'Or title.
Barcelona star Lionel Messi and Real Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo have won the individual accolade over the past nine years, and the latter is favourite to secure his fifth crown this time around.
Hazard produced his best campaign in the Chelsea shirt last term as he guided the Blues to their fifth Premier League title, and the Belgian insists that he has no goal of winning individual honours.
"It is not a goal at all. Last year I tried to make the best season possible. It was an excellent year," he is quoted as saying by the Evening Standard.
The former Lille man has adjusted fantastically during his five-year spell at Stamford Bridge, contributing 72 goals in 256 appearances in all competitions.
Hazard will seek to open his goalscoring account for the campaign when Chelsea take on Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
