Arsenal legend-turned-pundit Ian Wright admits that Tammy Abraham would have offered more up front for Chelsea in Alvaro Morata's absence with a hamstring injury.

The England youth international joined Swansea City on a season-long loan in the summer, and he has since been a huge hit contributing four goals in the English top-flight.

On the other hand, Batshuayi has struggled to find his feet in the Premier League, although he has netted five goals in the League Cup and Champions League this term.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Wright feels the Blues would have benefited more from Abraham, had he stayed put at Stamford Bridge for the current campaign.

"I said a couple of weeks ago that Batshuayi should be very disappointed that [Antonio Conte] would rather put [Eden] Hazard up there. There were some fantastic balls [against Palace] but he was too late for many of them."

"Tammy set the tone straight away. What I really like about him is that he hits the target. He worked hard and showed composure for his first goal and his movement today was superb. With that movement, I'm taking Tammy all day long."

Obviously, Batshuayi has not been a favourite under Conte, and his recent performance is unlikely to do him well prior to Wednesday's Champions League outing versus AS Roma.

Alvaro Morata is currently 50/50 to make the midweek game against the Giallorossi, and Conte could be tempted to play Hazard in a false nine role, should the Spaniard fail to make the matchday squad.
