Arsenal star expects to join Manchester United
Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil is reportedly expecting to seal a future move to Manchester United after declining to extend his Gunners contract.
The World Cup winner has just eight months left on his present deal, and this has attracted interest from numerous clubs including Inter Milan and Fenerbahce.
According to The Mirror, the Germany international has set his sights on a reunion with manager Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford next year.
Ozil spent three seasons working under Mourinho at former club Real Madrid, and he has allegedly told his teammates that he will soon join the Red Devils.
Arsenal are looking at the prospect of accepting a cut-price deal for Ozil during the winter transfer window, but United may restrict their move until the summer, where the midfielder will be available on a free.
Ozil has fallen down the pecking order under Arsene Wenger of late, and he was only a late substitute in the 2-1 away defeat to Watford last weekend.
