Man Utd offer Ander Herrera new contract

Ander Herrera news

Herrera to sign new United deal

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera has been offered a brand new contract at Manchester United. The player's deal at Old Trafford will expires next summer and he is free to speak to foreign clubs six months prior to expiry in January.

Herrera has been an important member of Jose Mourinho's squad in recent times but has failed to force his way into the Portuguese's first-team on a regular basis, particularly due to the impressive form of the likes of Paul Pogba.

Herrera has indicated that he would like to stay with the Premier League side and is happy in England, but wants a significant improvement on his reported £80,000 a week contract at United.

Herrera's situation is also being closely monitored by German side Borussia Dortmund and La Liga giants Barcelona, who are long-term admirers of the midfielder.

The 28-year-old made the move to Man Utd in 2014 and arrived at the club from Athletic Bilbao. United paid 20 million euros for the player's services.
