Manchester United plan £30m bid for Paris Saint-Germain star

Manchester United have reportedly expressed an interest in pursuing the services of Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier.

The Belgium international is presently playing second fiddle to Dani Alves for the right-back role, and this has urged him to consider a fresh challenge elsewhere.

According to The Express, Jose Mourinho has kept a close watch on Meunier since last summer and could lodge a £30m bid for his services in January.

Meunier is desperate to make the World Cup squad with Belgium next summer, and this is said to be one of the prime reasons, which could push him for an exit.

The former Club Brugge man has previously revealed his ambition to play for Manchester United, and he could end up as the perfect competitor for Antonio Valencia in the right-back/ right wing-back spot.

Meunier is currently contracted to the Ligue 1 leaders until the summer of 2020, but Paris Saint-Germain could as well cash in on his services in the New Year as they look to balance the financial books after the signings of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
