Nevilla insists United are under pressure to win the title

Manchester United legend-turned-pundit Gary Neville has insisted that his former have got to win the Premier League crown following their close 1-0 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.

Anthony Martial popped up with the crucial winner in the 81st minute of the game as United maintain their five-point gap to leaders Manchester City, who also won their outing at West Bromwich Albion.

Following the game, Neville commented on the importance of the three points while insisting that United are in a similar pressure to their cross-town rivals to lift the English crown this term.

"United would have been seven points behind City with a draw - then City would have had a chance to go 10 points clear next weekend before United played at Chelsea," Neville said on The Gary Neville Podcast by Sky Sports.

"That would've been a big gap. So now, ultimately it gives United a much better chance. United have got to win the Premier League this season. Manchester City have got to win the Premier League too. Both teams, with the money invested, second isn't good enough."

As a result of the win, United maintained their 100 percent record in their home patch - a feat which is shared with Arsene Wenger's Arsenal, who are a further four points behind in fifth place.

Next up, Manchester United have a home outing versus Benfica in the Champions League, and a positive result would seal their qualification to the last 16 of the competition for the first time in more than four years.
