Emre Can news

Can wanted back at Bayern Munich?

Bayern Munich have reportedly joined Juventus in the race to sign Liverpool contract rebel Emre Can. The Germany international has been reluctant to extend his Reds contract, and it appears likely that he could leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.

According to The Mirror, Bayern are likely to make a move to re-sign their former graduate, who is also of interest to Serie A holders Juventus. The Italian champions have already opened up negotiations with the player's representatives over a pre-contract, but Bayern are said to be planning an approach of their own.

The Bavarian giants are presently concerned over the situation of Arturo Vidal, who is seemingly eyeing a new challenge during the summer, and they have earmarked Can as a possible candidate to re-build a new look midfield, which will also include compatriot Leon Goretzka.

Can spent four seasons with Bayern between 2009 and 2013, and during this period, he managed to earn his promotion to the senior side, making seven appearances in all competitions. He followed to spend a solitary season with Bayer Leverkusen between 2013 and 2014 before joining the Reds.
