Luke Shaw set to leave Manchester United?
England international Luke Shaw is set to pursue a fresh challenge away from Manchester United in the summer after receiving further criticism from manager Jose Mourinho.
The 22-year-old was fancied ahead of Ashley Young for the left-back duties against Brighton yesterday, but found himself substituted at the half-time break because he failed to follow the manager's tactical discussions.
Young, who eventually came on, provided the match-winning assist for Nemanja Matic in the second half, and shortly the game, Mourinho publicly critised Shaw for his average performance.
According to BBC Sport, the comments have not gone well with the left-back and those close to him, and he could now be prepared to push through an exit during the summer.
Shaw has never really settled at Manchester United owing to injuries and the lack of form, but he is still said to attract interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur. His current deal expires in June 2019.
