Luis Enrique prefers Arsenal job over Chelsea
Former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is reportedly in favour of coaching Arsenal over Chelsea, should the opportunity arise during the summer.
The 47-year-old is on a year-long sabbatical after his three-season stint with Barcelona, but he is expected to return to management for the next campaign.
Initially, Enrique was touted to replace Antonio Conte at the helm, but according to a report from The Star, the experienced head coach is said to prefer a move to Arsenal instead.
The Gunners are currently assessing the position of long-standing manager Arsene Wenger, and there is a realistic chance that they could part ways with the Frenchman, should they fail to win the Europa League this term.
Lifting the competition offers a route back to the Champions League, and that appears the minimum expectation for the Gunners, who have underperformed in the Premier League this season.
Arsenal are currently 13 points behind Tottenham Hotspur, who occupy the fourth position on the table, and their chances of qualifying for the Champions League via their league table appears almost impossible.
