Heinze is off... to Madrid
Gabriel Heinze's summer-long transfer saga is over after Real Madrid completed the signing of the Argentinian defender. The Madrid club website read, "Real Madrid and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the transfer of Gabriel Heinze."
Real Madrid are believed to have paid around £7m for the 29 year old who recently lost his battle in court to allow Liverpool to complete the signing of the Man Utd player.
If Heinze plays left back, Drenthe, Marcelo and Miguel Torres will all be his competition for the position which Roberto Carlos has recently given up since moving to Turkey.
