Thomas Tuchel to become next Arsenal boss?

Tuchel emerges as probable Wenger successor

Former Borussia Dortmund coach Thomas Tuchel has emerged as the leading candidate to takeover from manager Arsene Wenger at Arsenal in the summer.

The 44-year-old has been out-of-work since his departure from Dortmund last summer, but according to SportBild, he could return to management in the upcoming season.

Bayern have been identified as potential contenders to vie for his signature upon Jupp Heynckes' retirement, but SportBild suggests that Tuchel is keen on a challenge overseas, having already spoken with Arsenal.

Nevertheless, any agreement could depend on the Gunners' performance between now and the end of the season with the club still alive in the Europa League.

Wenger faces the pressure of guiding the Gunners to Champions League football next term, and this could still be done by lifting the Europa League title.

Arsenal return to competitive action against Stoke City next weekend before tackling CSKA Moscow in the first-leg of the Europa League quarter-final at the Emirates Stadium.
