Marcos Alonso reacts to Real Madrid transfer link

Chelsea wing-back Marcos Alonso has stressed that he is not thinking about  a possible return to Real Madrid at the end of the current campaign.

The Spain international has been associated with a possible return to the Bernabeu in the summer with sources suggesting that Los Blancos could be prepared to offer Gareth Bale in exchange.

However, in an interview with Marca, Alonso appeared to ignore the speculation by insisting that he is more focused to get the best out of himself with Chelsea.

Alonso's transfer to west London was questioned during the summer of 2016, but he has since contributed significantly towards the Blues' progress, contributing six goals in each top-flight season.

Alonso is expected to earn his Spain debut tonight when La Roja host Argentina in an international friendly at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

After that, the former Fiorentina man is due to lineup for Chelsea as they entertain cross-town rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Sunday.
