Colombia international James Rodriguez has stressed that he is content plying his trade with Bayern Munich despite the long-term interest from Manchester United.

The 26-year-old struggled to make himself a regular with Real Madrid, and this urged him to join Bayern Munich on a two-year loan last summer to be reunited with Carlo Ancelotti.

Rodriguez did not have a good start with Bayern thereafter, but the dismissal of Ancelotti came as a blessing in disguise with interim boss Jupp Heynckes helping him revive his old form.

There has been talk of Rodriguez cutting short his Bayern stay in order to seal a Premier League, and when quizzed upon the situation by The Sun, he replied:

"At Bayern I’m fine, I’m good at Bayern. In France (at Monaco) I was playing, now at Bayern I’m always playing and I think that’s good to arrive (at the World Cup) with a good rhythm."

The attacker rose to fame during the 2014 World Cup finals in Brazil where he shared the Golden Boot with Argentina's Lionel Messi, and the Colombia is now aiming to replicate his success in Russia.
