Arsenal, Liverpool alerted by Watford's interest in selling midfielder
Arsenal and Liverpool have been put on alert with Watford planning to sanction the sale of Abdoulaye Doucoure at the end of the campaign.
The French footballer has been in fine form for the Hornets this term, and he is currently their leading scorer with seven goals in all competitions.
A number of elite English clubs have been associated with Doucoure's signature of late, and according to The Mirror, the Hornets could grant their wish by accepting the midfielder's sale during the summer.
Doucoure was pursued from Rennes for just £6m in the winter of 2016, and Watford are likely to give the consideration of making a significant profit from his departure.
The 25-year-old has previously talked up the possibility of working under Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger whilst also admitting it would be hard to turn down advances from a dream club of Liverpool's calibre.
He is expected to be in action this weekend when Watford entertain Bournemouth at Vicarage Road. The Hornets have suffered successive defeats in the top-flight, and the Cherries game offers them the chance to edge closer to safety for the season.
