West Ham to sign Joao Mario on permanent deal
West Ham are believed to be ready to offer a contract to Portuguese international Joao Mario at the end of the season. The Inter Milan star is currently on loan with the Hammers and has impressed the club's coaching team with a string of excellent performances.
Joao Mario, who scored in the weekend's 3-0 win over Southampton, is believed to be available for a fee of around 12 million euros; a significantly reduced price than Italian club Inter paid for his signature.
Joao Mario is ready to move to London having told his agent that he is happy at David Moyes' club and enjoying his time there.
The Hammers are currently struggling and not yet certain of their Premier League status, but the win over Southampton will go a long way to guaranteeing that.
Joao Mario has also attracted the interest of German duo Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig in recent weeks but it is believed he will shun a move to the Bundesliga and join the Hammers instead.
