Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is prepared to lure Marouane Fellaini on a free transfer from Manchester United at the end of the campaign.

The Belgium international has failed to agree to terms over a new deal at Old Trafford, and he is widely expected to leave the club when his contract expires in June.

Fellaini, 30, has been associated with potential moves to Italy and Turkey of late, but according to L'Equipe, Liverpool could offer him the chance to prolong his Premier League career.

The Belgian's best spell in the top-flight came with Merseyside rivals Everton, and Klopp is allegedly prepared to offer him a three-year deal during the summer.

Fellaini spent five seasons with David Moyes' Everton between 2008 and 2013, and during this period, he contributed 33 goals in 177 appearances across all competitions.

Liverpool already have a pre-contract agreement to sign RB Leipzig's Naby Keita during the summer, but they are also looking into another midfield recruit with Emre Can appearing likely to leave the club on a Bosman.
