Manchester United tracking Swansea City defender
Manchester United tracking Swansea City defender

Manchester United were keeping a close watch on the performance of Swansea City's Alfie Mawson during last weekend's Premier League match with West Bromwich Albion.
The 24-year-old has been making huge strides since his switch from Barnsley in the summer of 2016, and this recently earned him his maiden call-up to the England national side.
According to The Sun, United were tracking the centre-back's progress versus the Baggies, but they are not alone in the player's pursuit with Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United also said to hold an interest.
The Red Devils currently have sufficient depth in the central defensive department but Jose Mourinho may want to add another defender to the ranks with the futures of Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Daley Blind in doubt beyond the summer.
Smalling, in particular, has risen to the occasion with a couple of match-winning headers against Manchester City and Crystal Palace respectively, but he has not been able to produce a similar showing in his own half, which has brought frustration among the supporters.
