Alexandre Lacazette: Europa League success could save Arsene Wengers job

Lacazette: Europa League triumph can save Arsenal's season

Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is determined to win this season's Europa League crown, and believes success in the competition would help manager Arsene Wenger keep his job.

The French tactician has been under huge pressure with the Gunners out of contention for a top-four spot in the Premier League, and his future is now said to be hinging on whether the club can lift the Europa League or not.

In a report covered by Sky Sports, Lacazette has said that winning the trophy would be enough to save the club's season, he said: "It can be the way to keep the manager because he did so much good for the club.

"We want to win trophies. It will save our season because in the Premier League we are not doing well. Winning a cup would be good."

The Gunners have been pitted against Atletico Madrid in the semi-final stage of the Europa League, and they need to get their tactics right in order to outsmart the competition favourites.
