Hazard eyeing top-four spot plus Cup success

Belgium international Eden Hazard has stressed that the Blues have not given up on their quest for a top-four finish to the Premier League season.

The west London giants are currently five points behind fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur with four games left to play and Hazard is eyeing a Champions League spot as well as success in the FA Cup final.

He told BBC Sport: "We gave everything. We played very good football, especially in the second half, and controlled the game. Now we go to the final and for the championship (Premier League) again, and then we can think about the final against Manchester United. We will enjoy the final now... we want to finish in the top four and win the FA Cup, that's the target."

Chelsea went through a poor run of form in 2018 where they could not secure a string of victories. However, since the 3-2 comeback win at St Mary's, the Blues have gone through a purple patch which has witnessed their progress to the FA Cup final.

During this period, Olivier Giroud has been hugely influential with three goals and the Frenchman appears to have finally found his feet after a slow start to his Blues career under Antonio Conte.

Giroud opened the scoring during the 2-0 semi-final over Southampton this evening and the result saw him contribute his 22nd goal or assist in just 26 FA Cup appearances.
