Rashford in line for United extension

Manchester United are reportedly planning talks with Marcus Rashford over a new long-term contract. The England international has just over two years left on his current Red Devils deal.

According to The Star, the Mancunian giants are determined to reward the forward with a new extension ahead of this summer's World Cup in Russia.

Rashford's future has come under question owing to his reduced gametime of late and the club are prepared to tie him to a fresh bumper deal ahead of the summer where he could attract interest from some of Europe's elite.

The 20-year-old has been restricted to primarily a bench role since Alexis Sanchez's arrival but he is expected to return to the forefront on Friday night with Romelu Lukaku in the treatment room.

Rashford has been with the Old Trafford outfit since the age of seven and he has managed 75 league appearances for United since making his debut against Arsenal in February 2016.
