Jose Mourinho 'still positive' of Fellaini stay

Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho remains positive that Marouane Fellaini will extend his Red Devils contract beyond the summer.
The Belgian had been heavily tipped to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer but shortly after scoring the winner against Arsenal last weekend, Mourinho hinted at the possibility of an extension.
Speaking ahead of the Brighton game, Mourinho cited that he is 'still positive' of Fellaini's extension given his overall importance to him and the club.
The Mancunian outfit are understood to have already placed a one-year contract with the option of a further 12 months but Fellaini is rather looking for a two-year deal with a decent payrise.
The former Evertonian is currently on wages of around £80,000-a-week and he is said to want a 20 per cent hike whilst being assured of regular gametime for the 2018/19 season and beyond.
Fellaini has notched five goals in 22 appearances for United this campaign. He is a probable contender to start against Brighton on Friday after making a defining impact versus Arsenal last weekend.
