Khedira open to Premier League challenge

Germany international Sami Khedira has hinted that he could fancy a fresh challenge in the Premier League in the future. The World Cup winner has previously been associated with the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea.

Khedira has been a consistent performer for Juventus in recent seasons, but in an interview with Bild, the midfielder hinted that he could favour a Premier League challenge following success in Spain, Germany and Italy.

He told Bild: "I would like to win as many titles as possible in as many championships as possible. Among the best leagues in Europe I lack England, having won in Spain, Germany and Italy.

"The Premier League has always fascinated me. Winning the title there would complete my collection. But I do not want to nominate or propose: I'm fine in Turin and predicting the future in football is difficult."

Khedira has been a hot prospect in the market a couple of seasons ago when he decided to leave Real Madrid for Juventus. However, he has since been the subject of numerous niggles which have hampered his career and his future has been brought into question this campaign.

The former Stuttgart man currently has just over 12 months left on his existing deal and it will be interesting to see whether Juventus will reward him a new contract based on his performance at the upcoming World Cup.
