Arsenal maintain interest in Bundesliga centre-back
Arsenal have reportedly continued with their pursuit of Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu, who is regarded as one of the best young centre-backs in the Bundesliga.
The Gunners are currently without a permanent head coach in their ranks but they are still prepared to continue with their search for new players ahead of the summer.
Head of recruitment Sven Mislintat has been offered the responsibility to mastermind the club's transfer business and according to The Telegraph, Soyuncu is among the German's prime targets for the summer.
Mislintat is understood to have watched Soyuncu in action on a couple of occasions this term and judging by his feedback, Arsenal could be prepared to pay as much as £35m for the Turkey international.
Arsenal ended the season in a disappointing sixth position, 12 points adrift of fourth-placed Liverpool. They will be plying their trade in the Europa League once more next term alongside Burnley and Chelsea.
