Chelsea planning surprise bid for Burnley goalkeeper

Chelsea are planning a surprise bid to sign Burnley goalkeeper James Trafford, according to Football Insider.
The Blues currently have Djordje Petrovic as their first-choice goalkeeper with Robert Sanchez as his back-up.
Sanchez is keen on a fresh challenge this summer and it appears the Blues are lining up Trafford as his replacement.
Trafford was a regular starter for the Clarets at the start of last season, but he was demoted in the back end of the campaign.
Despite this, he has made England's provisional squad for Euro 2024. He could be involved in the final 26-man squad.
Meanwhile, the Blues are prepared to pay £20 million for Trafford. The Clarets could be tempted to accept the transfer bid.
Chelsea have a busy summer ahead of them. They are planning multiple signings. It won't be affected by their manager hunt.
The hierarchy are set to recruit players using their strategists rather than under the recommendation of their next head coach.
