Jose Mourinho to sell Eric Bailly?
Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering the sale of Ivorian defender Eric Bailly after growing frustrated with the defender's injury record.
The 24-year-old joined the Red Devils from Villareal in the summer of 2016 and he has since managed just over 50 appearances for the club after suffering a couple of long-term injuries.
As such, he has fallen down the pecking order for the central defensive positions and he was only a substitute during the recent FA Cup final defeat to Chelsea.
According to The Independent, Mourinho has not ruled out a summer exit for the Ivorian defender, should the club receive a sizeable fee for his probable departure.
Bailly currently has more than two years left on his existing deal but as things stand, the club's hierarchy are highly unlikely to reward him with a contract extension.
Tottenham Hotspur's Toby Alderweireld is presently the prime target to replace the former Villareal man, though United may need to recoup funds by offloading their fringe players first.
