Arsenal interested in signing AS Roma midfielder
Arsenal are reportedly considering a move for AS Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini. The 21-year-old only returned to the Giallorossi from Sassuolo last summer and made 37 appearances during the 2017/18 season.
According to Sky Sports News, new Gunners boss Unai Emery is keen to reinforce the midfield department during the summer and the three-time Italy international has been identified as one of the prime candidates.
It is added that Juventus are also said to be monitoring his developments after knowing of his relatively cheap release clause which stands at £25m.
Nevertheless, the Gunners are said to have a minor edge over the Bianconeri with Emery holding a good relationship with Roma director of football Monchi since their time together at Sevilla.
Arsenal are expected to recruit at least one midfielder and central defender during this summer's transfer window and it will be interesting to see whether there will be any exits from the existing squad.
