Arsenal interested in signing Argentine winger
Arsenal have reportedly revived their long-term interest in Cristian Pavon with a view to a possible move following the summer World Cup.
The Boca Juniors ace had been assumed a target for the Gunners last winter, and it appears that the club have re-entered talks for the Argentina international.
According to The Mirror, both Arsenal and Chelsea have opened up discussions with Boca but any decision over the attacker's future may only be taken following the World Cup.
The 22-year-old has established himself as one of Argentina's most promising prospects and Boca are planning to demand a higher fee, should he impress at the global tournament in Russia.
Pavon, who has appeared five times for the Selecao, has previously earned praise for compatriot and Barcelona star Lionel Messi for his progress, and the Catalan club could yet emerge as contenders for his services. The forward is presently contracted to the club until June 2022.
