Martinez praises star player Eden Hazard

Belgium coach Roberto Martinez has reserved special praise for star player Eden Hazard ahead of the beginning of the World Cup in Russia. The tournament commences this Friday and the Belgians are hotly tipped as one of the favourites to win the entire competition.

Hazard has been one of Chelsea's star players in recent seasons but has yet to have won silverware of any sort for his country.

However, coach Martinez is delighted to be able to call upon Hazard for his team.

"Eden has got a special ability that people want to pay to watch," said Martinez,  "He plays like he’s on the street. He just wants to get the ball, beat his man and then go right or left. He brings an incredible sense of normality to his football.

"It has been great to see him over the last two years and the maturity that has come from his performances."

Eden Hazard has been hotly tipped to leave Chelsea this summer, with a move to Real Madrid rumoured.
