Tottenham enter race for versatile Barcelona ace

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly prepared to battle West Ham United in the pursuit of Barcelona midfielder Rafinha this summer.

The 25-year-old impressed during his loan spell with Inter Milan last term but the Nerazzurri decided against the buy option owing to their financial issues.

As such, the right-sided player in back in the transfer market and Barcelona are said to demand a fee of around £30m for the two-time Brazil international.

According to Sport, Spurs have earmarked Rafinha as one of their prime targets for the summer and they are keen to beat off the Hammers interest to sign the 25-year-old.

Rafinha, who can play anywhere on the right side of the field, played a direct part in five goals for Inter Milan last term as they secured their return to the Champions League.

He was heavily tipped to join the Nerazzurri on a permanent basis but Barcelona's £30m asking price eventually proved too steep for the San Siro outfit.
