Chelsea, Juventus vying for Atletico Madrid defender
Chelsea and Juventus could reportedly battle it out for the signature of Atletico Madrid defender Stefan Savic, a report from Sky Sports claims.
The Montenegro international made 36 appearances for Atleti last term but he is still behind Diego Godin and Jose Gimenez in the pecking order for the centre-back spot.
As such, the 27-year-old is supposedly open to a fresh challenge elsewhere and Sky Italia claims that the Blues and the Bianconeri may tussle it out for his services.
Chelsea are yet to decide whether Antonio Conte will remain at the helm next term but the club's hierarchy have still begun the search for new recruits.
Juventus, on the other hand, are said to be planning a major overhaul of their ageing defence and Savic has been identified as the perfect fit to help the transition.
Savic, who joined Atleti from Fiorentina in the summer of 2015, has managed over 80 appearances to date. He won the Europa League with the Madrid giants last season.
