Sadio Mane responds to Real Madrid speculation
Liverpool winger Sadio Mane has reportedly dismissed the ongoing speculation over his future by insisting that he is content at Anfield.
The Senegal international joined the Reds from Southampton in the summer of 2016 and he has since found the scoresheet on 33 occasions in 73 appearances for the club.
As a result of his strong showing, he has caught the eye of Real Madrid in recent weeks but the 26-year-old has stressed that he is content at Liverpool for the moment.
He told Salzburger Nachrichten: "I am very happy in Liverpool and my contract will last for three more years. As I said, I am happy in Liverpool, but you never know what will happen in the future."
Mane is presently with the Senegalese national team for the summer World Cup and his performances could be crucial to the team's hopes of progressing beyond the group.
Senegal have qualified for the World Cup on only one previous occasion in 2002 where they managed to reach the quarter-final stage. They were ousted by Turkey with the Golden Goal rule.
