Griezmann speaks positively about Pogba

France international Antoine Griezmann has said that the entire team expects 'big things' from Paul Pogba during the World Cup finals in Russia.

The Manchester United ace has come for criticism for his performances of late but he is still assured of his spot in the starting lineup.

Speaking to FIFA.com, Griezmann spoke about the qualities of his compatriot and believes the midfielder could be key to orchestrating Les Bleus' World Cup opener against Australia.

"We're expecting big things from Paul - all his touches of brilliance and his long-range goals. We're expecting him to get the crowd on their feet. There isn't a leader in the side, but when Paul talks, everyone listens," he said.

Pogba has been found guilty of misplacing passes during the warm-up games leading to the World Cup but Deschamps has assured that the midfielder is 'indispensable' to the squad.

France begin their World Cup campaign against Australia on Saturday before tackling Peru and Denmark in their group. Les Bleus are outright favourites to lead the standings.
