Chelsea are reportedly positive of keeping goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois at Stamford Bridge beyond the summer transfer window.

A recent report from Evening Standard suggested that the Blues may part ways with the Belgian after failing to come to terms over a new contract beyond June 2019 but they appear to have found a breakthrough.

As such, talks are expected to resume following the shot-stopper's return from the summer World Cup and the 26-year-old is likely to put pen-to-paper on a deal which will earn him a rise on his current £100,000-a-week wages.

Real Madrid have been associated with the keeper's signature over the past few months and reports in Spain suggest that Los Blancos are seemingly close to signing Alisson from AS Roma in a £70m deal.

On the other hand, Paris Saint-Germain are not actively seeking to replace first-choice Alphonse Areola between the sticks and Italian great Gianluigi Buffon has been tipped to join them in a back-up role next term.
