Caglar Soyuncu declares interest in Arsenal
Freiburg defender Caglar Soyuncu has said that he is interested in joining the Gunners after turning down offers from other clubs, Gunes reports.
The 22-year-old, who currently has three years left in his contract with his current Bundesliga club expressed his desire to play in the Premier League.
The defender joined Freiburg in the summer of 2016, and has made 25 Bundesliga appearances for the club since then. He is also a member of the Turkish national team having been called to the squad in 2015.
It is unclear if the Gunners will bid for the central defender after this declaration, but it may just happen in the coming days as the Gunners have been linked with the defender all summer.
Arsenal have already completed the signings of Stephan Lichtsteiner and Bernd Leno ahead of the new season. It is expected that new Arsenal boss Unai Emery will add more players to his side as they bid to qualify for the UEFA Champions League next season after failing to do so in the previous two.
