Netherlands international Timothy Fosu-Mensah has reportedly decided to stay put with Manchester United despite failing to break into the first-team under Jose Mourinho.

The 20-year-old has previously admitted his frustration at the limited opportunities at Old Trafford but Sport Witness claims that he has not given up on making a career with the Mancunian giants.

Regardless of this, the Dutchman could be tempted by a temporary deal during the ongoing transfer window with Spanish side Valencia among the key contenders for his services.

The Mestalla outfit are assured of Champions League football after their fourth place finish in the Spanish La Liga last season and they are now supposedly eyeing recruits who can help them progress further.

Fosu-Mensah, who arrived at United from the Ajax academy in 2014, has two more years left on his current deal with Jose Mourinho's team. He has generally featured in the right-back spot at United, although he is more than capable of playing in a central defensive or midfield position.
