Liverpool make £58m bid for Brazilian goalkeeper
Liverpool are understood to have lodged a £58m bid to pursue the signing of Alisson Becker from AS Roma this summer.
The 25-year-old has been linked with the likes of Chelsea and Real Madrid in recent weeks but sporting director Monchi has recently clarified that the club have yet to receive a concrete approach for the goalkeeper.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Jurgen Klopp's side are said to have made the first move to sign the Brazil international after making an offer worth £58m for his signature.
It is added that the Merseyside outfit are prepared to reward the shot-stopper with a five-year contract, should they manage to convince the Giallorossi to sanction his sale.
Earlier last week, Klopp came in the defence of Loris Karius citing concussion had played a part in the German's dismal showing in the Champions League final but he has since dropped another clanger in the pre-season friendly versus Tranmere Rovers.
