AS Roma target Arsenal goalkeeper
AS Roma are interested in bringing Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech to the Stadio Olimpico, according to The Sun.
AS Roma are in need of a replacement for Alisson Becker, who joined Liverpool for £66.8m - a world record fee for a goalkeeper. Roma's sporting director Monchi is reportedly after a veteran goalkeeper that can strengthen the young defence of the Serie A side.
Cech, 36, has been the subject of transfer speculations with reports linking him with former club Chelsea where he could replace Thibaut Courtois, who is reportedly on his way to Real Madrid.
A move out of Arsenal could be a good one for Cech because his place in the starting eleven is not guaranteed with the arrival of Bernd Leno from Bayer Leverkusen for £22m.
However, Cech is reportedly keen on fighting for his place in the Gunners' squad. Plus, his agent confirmed recently that his client is focused on the coming season with Arsenal and has not received any offer from any side.
