Leicester City boss speaks on Maguire's transfer news
Leicester City manager Claude Puel has said that it is important for defender Harry Maguire to stay at the club.
Maguire has been linked with a £65m move to Manchester United after his performance at the World Cup in Russia.
"It is important for Maguire to continue for Leicester," he said, Sky Sports reports. "It is a good feeling. If our players are interesting a lot of clubs it is because we are recruiting well and doing good work. It is important we continue this."
Maguire himself recently said that he is happy at Leicester City, but has ambitions to play at the highest level.
After helping England reach the semi-final of the World Cup, a move to United will ensure that he continues his rise in the game.
Jose Mourinho's side will give Maguire a chance to play in the highest level of European football which is the UEFA Champions League.
Maguire is currently on holiday and is expected to return to training next month.
