Barcelona to move for Liverpool goalkeeper?
Barcelona are reportedly considering an attempt to sign goalkeeper Simon Mignolet from Liverpool.
The Belgium international played second fiddle to Loris Karius during the second half of the previous campaign and he has now fallen further down the pecking order with Alisson joining the Reds.
According to Sky Sports, the Blaugrana are prepared to offer an escape route to the former Sunderland man as they seek to find a replacement for Jasper Cillessen.
The Netherlands international has been the club's back-up goalkeeper behind Marc-Andre Ter Stegen over the past two seasons but he has been fancied to pursue regular first-team football elsewhere.
Meanwhile, Besiktas have also expressed an interest in signing Mignolet this summer and the Belgium may prefer a move to Turkey where he has the assurance of a regular starting role.
Mignolet has made over 200 appearances for Liverpool since making the switch from Sunderland in the summer of 2013. He has three years remaining on his existing contract.
