Maguire set for new Foxes deal

Leicester City are reportedly planning to reward Harry Maguire with a new long-term deal in order to ward off the interest from Manchester United.

The England international has been heavily tipped to join the Red Devils this summer but so far, the Foxes have resisted the attempt to sell the centre-back.

According to The Mirror, the Foxes are now planning to reward Maguire with a fresh £95,000-a-week which would almost double his present wages at the King Power Stadium.

Maguire only joined the Foxes from Hull City in the summer of 2017 and he has since made immense progress which has seen him feature for England at the World Cup.

Maguire is currently on an extended vacation after his exploits at the World Cup but he is likely to report to training before the Foxes' season opener versus the Red Devils.

Meanwhile, United's failure to sign Maguire appears to have switched their attention towards recruiting Yerry Mina, who has been fancied to leave Barcelona before next month's transfer deadline.
