The agent of Manchester United defender Matteo Darmian has revealed that his client will 'most likely' not leave the Premier League this summer.

Late in July, the defender confirmed that he was on his way out of Old Trafford, but his agent Tullio Tinti is saying a different thing now.

"There is hardly a possibility of Manchester United and Mourinho giving up Matteo. So most likely he won’t leave the Premier League and will stay there," Tullio Tinti told Sportitalia, Manchester Evening News reports.

The former Torino man has been linked with a move back to Italy with Napoli reportedly making a loan offer for him. With the injury crisis United currently have in defence, Darmain staying at Old Trafford will not be a bad idea.

He has been one of United's best players in pre-season so far, and with injuries to Diogo Dalot and Antonio Valencia, Darmian is the most reliable right-back available for the start of the Premier League season against Leicester City.
