Caglar Soyuncu completes Leicester City move
Leicester City have wrapped up the signing of highly rated Turkish international defender Caglar Soyuncu from Freiburg. The German club have let their prized asset leave for a fee of around 18 million euros.
According to reports, Leicester City had been in talks with Freiburg for over two weeks and have beaten Arsenal to the signing of the Turkish international youngster.
The Foxes will now wait for a work permit to be granted for the player and that the defender has signed a contract for four years at his new club. The 22-year-old, who has appeared 15 times for Turkey's national team, is very highly rated in his homeland and had been eager to make a move to the Premier League this summer.
It is understood that the signing of Soyuncu is not to make way for a departure of star defender Harry Maguire and that the England international is expected to stay with the club, at least for the time being.
