Pogba to stay at United?

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba is set to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place, according to RMC Sport.

The Frenchman has been linked with a move out of Jose Mourinho's side and according to previous reports, he wanted to leave the Theatre of Dreams.

Pogba was made captain in United's 2-1 win over Leicester City in the opening game of the Premier League, a move that has been interpreted as a plot to convince him to remain at Old Trafford. He scored the opening goal of the game from the penalty spot.

Barcelona and Juventus have been linked with a move for the United academy graduate with the latter having a shorter time to sign him given that the Italian transfer window closes next Friday.

According to previous reports, Pogba's agent is working on a move to Barcelona before the 31st of August when the transfer window will be closed across Europe.

With all the speculation, it will be very difficult to convince United to sell, especially now that the transfer window in England is closed.
