Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed that Nabil Fekir will most likely remain with the club beyond the summer transfer window.

The France international had previously underwent a medical and agreed personal terms with Liverpool but the deal fell through at the final hurdle.

Since the English transfer deadline, Fekir has been linked with a potential move to Spain with Real Madrid but Aulas has now stressed that he is 95 per cent certain to remain with Les Gones.

"We will have to wait until the end of the transfer window," he is quoted as saying by The Express. "But he will stay, 95 per cent. We've seen the love of the fans for him. Lyon is a great city of football."

Fekir was recently part of the France national team which went on to secure their second World Cup crown. He has since returned to first-team training with Les Gones but was not involved in their opening day triumph over Amiens.
