Manchester United: There is a lot to improve on - Mata

Manchester United midfielder Juan Mata has revealed that there is still a lot to improve on with the Premier League just beginning last Friday.

He made this known in his weekly blog after Manchester United defeated Leicester City by two goals to one on the opening day.

"We know that it’s still August, we know that there is a lot to improve on and on top of that we have teammates that haven’t been back involved with the team for long," he wrote.

The Spaniard also said that the Leicester win will do good to the team's confidence apart from its positive impact on the league table.

Mata played the full 90 minutes against the 2016 league champions on the night. The former Chelsea man made 28 league appearances for United last term, netting three goals.

When Jose Mourinho came to Manchester United in 2016, it was thought that Mata would be sold, but he has gone on to make 54 Premier League appearances under the Portuguese.
