Aston Villa boss confirms interest in Everton winger
Aston Villa manager Steve Bruce has confirmed that the club are close to the loan signing of Yannick Bolasie from Premier League side Everton.
The 29-year-old has never really settled at Everton since his arrival from Crystal Palace in 2016 and he is now close to pursuing a temporary challenge away from Goodison Park.
Speaking to Sky Sport News, Bruce has indicated that the deal to bring Bolasie to Villa Park should be finalised in the next 24 hours, he said: "We hope we can get Yannick Bolasie over the line. Hopefully we can announce something later today or tomorrow."
Bolasie suffered a serious knee injury during his maiden season with the Toffees and he has since struggled to break into the lineup on a regular basis with the constant chopping and changing of managers.
At Villa, Bolasie should be assured of the regular gametime he craves for and hopefully, his performances can enhance the Villains' prospects of returning to the top-flight next season.
